Peru Bible College

The Peru Bible College is located in the southern region of Peru in the city of Arequipa.  It is under the direction of missionary Chris Gardner and has 90 students living, working and studying on the campus each week.  Ten families make their home on the campus as staff members including many of the professors.  The college is in its 15th year.

The long term completion schedule for the college includes the construction of two more floors on each of the instructional buildings in place now, the administration building, the new 3000 seat auditorium and the separate dormitories over the next 5 years.  The short term construction projects include the completion of the security wall and block 1 auditorium.

Graduates from the Bible College are starting churches in the United States, Chile, Uraguay, Argentina, Venezuela, Morocco and Bolivia.  To get involved in this work email us for information.

 
Ouagadougou Burkina Faso, West Africa

The church in Ouagadougou (pronounced "wa-ga-doo-goo") Burkina Faso has been under construction for less than one year.  Missionary Keith Shumaker and BCWE businessman David Lundy have parternered together on this project to see tremendous progress in a short period of time. 

Burkina Faso is the third poorest country in the world and predominantly Muslim.  Keith has been working in several locations in the city and in the outlying tribal areas to start the main church and several sattelite works.   David Lundy traveled to West Africa this year to review the construction work and to lead several VBS meetings in the works that Keith is building.

Hunter Christian School, Arequipa Peru

The Hunter Christian School is the ministry of the Hunter Baptist Church in Arequipa Peru.  The pastor of the church is Miguel Murillo who is also the dean of the Peru Bible College.  Miguel is also the pastor of the Smyrna Baptist church in Arequipa.

The Chrisitan school recently acquired the adjoining property next to the church through a partnership between the Hunter Baptist Church and Businessmen Committed to World Evangelism. The land and building provided the space necessary for this full term Christian School.  The school currently has 60 students.
